Meade & Lee Dining Room

#GeneralMeade’s painting presides over the Meade & Lee Dining Room at the #FarnsworthHouse in #Gettysburg. The building had been taken over by Confederate sharpshooters during the battle. One of them is said to have been responsible for firing the bullet that killed #JennieWade, the only civilian fatality of the three-day battle. #MeadeandLeeDiningRoom #WitnesstoTribulation #LizFinnegan

Farnsworth House Inn

The brick structure behind me, now known as the #FarnsworthHouseInn in #Gettysburg, was witness to the 1863 battle. The evidence is in a plethora of bullet holes seen here on the side of the building.
