Olde Bryan Inn

#SaratogaSprings, NY is well known for its healing mineral waters and of course the famous racetrack that just completed a three-year gig hosting the @belmontstakes. However, did you know that this location was also significant in the #RevolutionaryWar? In fact, it is known to be the “Turning Point” in that war. Seen here is the Olde Bryan Inn (@theoldebryaninn) where #AlexanderBryan, a hero of the Revolution, once resided. He spied on the British and provided important information to General Horatio Gates, which allowed the Americans to prepare for an engagement with the enemy that began on September 19, 1777. That ultimate victory over the British is known as the #BattleofSaratoga, which became the turning point in the war for the Americans. This building (updated over the years), dates to 1773 and is a favorite tavern/restaurant for Saratoga locals and visitors alike. I recently took my book on a visit there. #lizfinnegan #theoldebryaninn #UShistory #WitnesstoTribulation
